Our work needs your support, and the easiest way to help us is to donate to us!
The ethos of the Kendo Nagasaki Foundation is to support people by showing them how to use Zen to de-stress and empower themselves, and ‘be the best they can be’. As a subsidiary of the Foundation, Kendo’s Day Care carries on the same enabling and empowering aims for those it seeks to support, adults with learning disabilities – they, too, deserve the best environment and facilities in which they’re able to be their best selves, and the Foundation, as a charity, provides this for Kendo’s Day Care.
We are supported by many wonderful people who give their time and expertise to keep things running and always moving forward, but the help and facilities we can offer inevitable depends in large part upon the donations we receive. The facilities are owned by the Kendo Nagasaki Foundation, and we need to cover operating and maintenance costs, as well as seeking to continually expand and improve the variety of facilities we offer to our service users.
We do all we can to ensure that the maximum possible amount of the donations we receive actually goes towards our work, and we’ve put a number of things in place to ensure this. Our ‘Donate’ button goes directly to our charity’s PayPal account (which has official Charity status), so they deduct the minimum in charges and fees from all the donations made (only 20p and 1.4% of all funds donated), we are registered with HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs) for Gift Aid, and we’re planning ‘JustGiving’ accounts to raise more and also top-up all monies they raise with Gift Aid contributions from the government.
All this means that however much or little you can donate to us, we’ll always make the most of it, and make it work hard for our service users!
eBay Charity Donations
Did you know that you can donate between 10% and 100% of the amount you win in your eBay auctions to a charity? Brilliant, isn’t it?! All you have to do is add us as a ‘Favourite Charity’, which you can do by clicking on this link, and hitting the button, ‘Save as Favourite’.
This simple process will really help us, and we’d be most grateful for your support!
Volunteer Your Time!
If you’d like to help us and have a few minutes to spare, we’d love to hear from you!
